VanishedVPN - Setup Guide

 Start here

Welcome to VanishedVPN. Please follow this guide to setup your VPN client

We provide 3 different types of VPN servers:

OpenVPN - This should be your first choice. Its the fastest, and most reliable VPN type. If you know what you're doing, jump in and download the config files from here or here.

L2TP - quick and simple to configure on IOS devices (iphone & iPad) & Mac

PPTP - Simple to configure for Windows. Soon to be retired (OpenVPN should be your first choice).

You will find the instructions and videos showing you how to configure your device in our knowledge base, (search for you device type ie 'Windows' or 'iphone' ). For each type of setup, you will need to copy and paste the username (your email) and password from the email that was sent to you after you signed up (they can take up to 15 minutes to arrive). For L2TP you will also need to enter the 'shared secret' (also in the email).

You can setup multiple VPN clients on your device, and switch between them. The table below shows the different servers and what they are used for. You can use either VPN type on each server.
