VanishedVPN - Setup Guide
If you are looking to play unblocked content (like USA Netflix) on a Smart TV or media device (like AppleTV, Roku, PS4 etc), we strongly recommend purchasing one of our Invizbox mini routers. You simply plug this device into your modem / router, and then connect your smart TV or Media device to the new wireless network that will appear, and it will then be running over the VPN (USA by default, but can be changed), and you will be able to access unblocked content (like USA Netflix). We supply the device configured with you VPN credentials, ready to just plug in.
Alternatively, if you want to configure the VPN on a single device (Smartphone, PC, tablet, Mac etc), here's a guide to get you started.
We support 2 different types of VPN :OpenVPN - This should be your first choice. Its the fastest, and most reliable VPN type. If you know what you're doing, jump in and download the config files from here or here.
L2TP - quick and simple to configure on IOS devices (iphone & iPad) & Mac
You will find the instructions and videos showing you how to configure your device in our knowledge base, (search for you device type ie 'Windows' or 'iphone' ). For each type of setup, you will need to copy and paste the username (your email) and password which you can find on your dashboard on our site. For L2TP you will also need to enter the 'shared secret' which is happiness
You can setup multiple VPN clients on your device, and switch between them. The table below shows the different servers and what they are used for. You can use either VPN type on each server.
Unblocking US content (Netflix, Hulu, )
USA TV channels (NBC, CBS, Starz, Vudu, Sling TV etc)
EPL, F1, Cricket, Sling TV, Fubo.tv
Unblocking UK content (BBC iPlayer, ITV.com, NOW TV, Sky GO, Channel 4 etc)
Secure browsing, Access to Aus channels while travelling outside Australia (Foxtel Go, Plus 7, 9 Now, Ten Play). Access to Aus Netflix to avoid throttling by your ISP
P2P & Bit Torrent - These servers are based in a location where the laws on Bit Torrent are liberal. Bit Torrent is disabled on all other servers.
To start, we suggest that you choose the server that you will use the most, and configure it on a single device to check that it works.
